Deciding on a name for these delightful little candles was tough. We landed on Ceremony & Vigil Candles, but we could have easily gone with Meditation, Celebration, Chime, Angel or Prayer Candles. Whatever you call them, you get the idea. They are the perfect little candle to bring attention and intention to the moment. They are hand-dipped, using 100% Pure Beeswax, by a steady hand and a keen eye. Kept out of drafts and away from fans, these mini tapers will burn virtually dripless for roughly two hours.
These mini tapers are also idea for lighting up a Christmas tree in the traditional way!

Dimensions & Care

  • (10) 4.5in. x 0.5in. candles per bag
  • To light a joined taper please cut the wick ¼” from the candle top and light.
  • To prevent dripping, keep away from open windows, fans or excessive airflow of any kind and place your hand behind flame when blowing out.
  • Please note this is different than all other candle styles. To minimize smoking, use a snuffer to extinguish flame.

The best 2-3 hour candles

I burn two candles for Shabbat every week and I live in Washington, where the sunset is sometimes as early as 4:30 and sometimes is after 9. For summer, I need candles that are substantial enough to feel like a celebration, but small enough to burn out by the time I'm ready to go to bed. Also, my housemate and I are very sensitive to fragrances, pesticides, and other things that are sometimes in lower-quality candles. With that context, I loved these candles so much that I bought enough to last me a few years. I didn't manage to reach meme levels, but I did spend $400 on candles so now I don't have to worry about finding short-burning Shabbat candles for a while. They smell wonderful and sweet, and burn smoothly!
